My iPod really hates this site. I don't know why, cuz other proboards sites have been just fine, but this one just kills it. I can't leave the window because it refreshs everytine I open the window again, deleting my incomplete post. Sometimes it'll even refresh or shut down safari, just for kicks. And don't even get me started on the typing lag, it takes up to a full second to comprehend each character I type at times.
*needs to vent rage* sorry about that.

Hey Torags, I've got an idea, how about we change the kingdom to location or place of residence? I am thinking that maybe we should go making up cities as they are encountered in the RP. We can keep that thing if we need it but for right now how about we just use Griffon Rock?
I know its a bit jerkish of my to change my mind after you already made it....Sorry.

Eh.....I don't care which we do. Just someone decide. I would rather that I get to make the basics for the Werewolf and Vampire cities though. Unless you guys use it before I get on again.
So yeah, this is my signing out post for now until I can get a on a comp again. You guys are going to have to create and lead the site without me really. I'll get on when I can, but that wont be often.
Try to figure out a compromise on this city thing and try not to kill eachother.

*immediately kills kelrik*
JK JK. Okay Kelly, let's debate this like civilized people. What are some pros and cons of having set kingdoms?

Pros: template to base major settlements off of,establishes a sense of race controlled areas, easy starter areas, can help with instilling a sense of geography, player made areas can help with development of new races.helps with making alliance a more serious thing/makes it less a concept and more a physical thing. For instance you can say you are good, or you can say you are a good Knight of so and so city, and lastly it can establish more meaning to.having a royal or family name by giving them a region where they are based or are dominant in.

By the way, I would just like to clarify that I think having kingdoms for the pro RP is essential. I just don't think so for here.
Cons: limits player's capability to create his/her own environment, it's harder to start in a place that you didn't make yourself, people's descriptions of a city could become so different that it doesn't even represent the same thing, even if each place was described, a RPer would have to study the place they're RPing in. It would create a sense of geography, which would be detremental to the RPs, seeing as each one requires certain(usually different) placing of kingdoms to accommodate their own specific goals. They could still say they were from some respectable city, without having to give a name.
I just don't think it makes sense, and neither does Leo, for such a wild and free Roleplaying style. It just goes without saying that kingdoms and set geography is extremely practical for an organized RP.

O.o I have no idea what is going on. Someone needs to post a plot thing so I don't just wander around aimlessly until I find someone to tell me. That made no sense. OH, WELL.

No. We've already tried. You should have seen the plot she wanted to post for the fantasy thing. It was basically PJO with the camp and everything. And it took place in modern times. You in no way told me what was going to happen. You said fantasy. That is all you said. So you can shut up right now D<
