Risk lunged forward and stabbed the first Hell Hound and it turned into dust. The second lunged at him and he blocked it with his sword.

then the chimera landed behind the hell hound and it jumped back before risk could kill it. there were rows of tightly packed houses on either side of them, the chimera was in front of them with a hellhound and a whole PACK of hell hounds was surrounding them from behind." what do we do now? can you make another one of those portals and get us out of here?" nathan asked nervously

"No I didn't open that" Risk said. "Look kid, this is how it is going be. I am going to create a gap for you then your going to run out of here, I'll hold them off for as long as I can. Head for California, go to the Caldecott tunnel and some one should be there to direct you" He pulled the knife from his sheath on his belt and handed it to Nathan.

Risk jumped into action before he could reply. He kicked a hell hound in the face and then stabbed another killing it. But it opened a spot for Nathan to run through "Get out of here!"

nathan ran for the opening and out of the circle, but when he turned back he saw risk surrounded by hell hounds and the chimera above him. and nathan began running again.

Risk was backed against the wall by the pack of Hell hounds and the Chimera. Three of the hounds jumped at him all at once. He caught one with his sword killing it, he sidestepped the other but the third landed a long claw mark on his left shoulder. He grimaced but kicked the hound back off of him before it could do more. Just then the Chimera's lion head shot out a wall of flame at him. He dropped to the floor avoiding the majority of the flame, only receiving a few minor burns. Then the Chimera jumped forward going in for the killing blow....

nathan turned around and began running towards the fray. a hell hound jumped out of the battle at him and everything went in slow motion. he slid under the hellhound and slit the knife across its belly, then jumped over another one. he saw risk pressed against a wall and the chimera's head going for him. nathan was too far away to get there in time. he threw the knife and it hit the chimera straight in the eye and it's head went off couse, hitting the wall. but then he tripped on a rock and fell on his face.

Risk looked at the kid with amazement at first. Even some of the most experienced warriors could have pulled that off. He could of course, but still. Even though he fell on his face. Risk quickly stood and finished off the Chimera by stabbing through its underside. There were a few Hell Hounds to kill though. "I told you to get out of here!"

Risk grabbed the knife and tossed it back to Nate. "Your pretty good" He said before stabbing a hell hound in the neck.

"okay then... am i supposed to believe that? whoa your hurt!" nate went over to risk and started tearing apart his shirt sleeve and using as a bandage.
